How's it going, Daniel?
Morning, morning, morning. All right, good, good.
Yeah, doing well.
How about you?
Can you hear me? Is it me?
My computer's freezing. Let me see.
There you go.
I think that's better. Oh, how is everything?
It's good. Yeah, good, good.
How's the baby?
Uh, she's, she's hanging in there. My wife went back to work for the, uh, for her first day today, so I've been alone with the baby. No, my sister's here, um, but she's— my sister's not her mom, so she's She's freaking out a little bit, so I keep having to run up there and, and, but, you know, I've been there.
Yeah, I've been there.
Hey, Julie. Good morning. Good morning, Julie. Uh, before we get started, what do you think on the vehicle? I think we should get it repaired. Um, do you have a reason not to?
Yeah, my mic's not working.
Nope.
I'll be right back.
Okay, there's Garrett. Hey Garrett, you're almost on time.
So close.
I know, like my blue eyes. You give us a new look and sound every time. You're either like, we can barely hear you, or you're right up in our face.
It's funny.
I can't hear you guys.
Julie, can you hear— you can't hear us?
There we go, I can hear you now. Sorry about that, my Mike was doing something weird.
Julia, before we kick off, I think we should, I think we should repair that vehicle. Do you have any reason why we shouldn't, or you think that makes sense?
I think we should repair it.
Yeah, I think I'm, yeah, I'm on board with that.
Okay, I'll let, I'll let them know.
Okay, thank you.
Thank you.
Um, all right, uh, who wants to get us started with what's going on? Um, it seems like, just to backdrop, it looks like utilization is pretty high. It looks like things are busy.
Yeah, things are good. I mean, I I've got a lot of stuff blowing up right now. It's really great. We've got— I just got a call today from a company called— well, somebody we've worked with for years. They're low budget. It's called Larry Levinson Productions. I don't know if you remember who they are. They do lots of low budget— like, they did, like, the movies for Hallmark for a long time. They did Hallmark. But he's flying out people from Landman who are finishing Landman, the set decorator. And it's a Western shooting in Simi Valley, and they need, like, a bunch of trucks. 'Cause Larry owns his own stuff. He has old trailers, he's got all his stuff, and he saves money wherever he can. But Malcolm referred this guy to me, so I'm hoping this might be, you know, like, a good 6 months for 3 or 4 or 5 tons out in Simi and some other equipment, you know, that they don't have. Um, and then I also— but yeah, it's called— it's— I don't know the name of the show, but it's Larry Levinson Productions. I just talked to them today.
Okay.
It's a non— he's non-union. That's the big thing. He— but the guy told me that he spoke to Gail Webster at BI, and BI gave him the same rate I gave him and told him, you know what, if, if somebody beats my rate, I'll come down. And I told him, I said, I talked to this guy Michael and He said, yeah, I said, I mean, I'll do what I gotta do, but I said, we're here, we're local, this guy's coming in town. And he understood that. He's like, yeah, I don't want to give business to somebody coming in from Atlanta. And I said, you know, we should take care of the people that are here. And he kind of agreed. I'll find out hopefully by later today if we got that.
And what's the reservation, or what are the reservations?
We haven't made any reservations because he hasn't given— he just— I just gave him a quote. I just gave him that. Because he didn't— he only gave me the name of the production company, which is Larry Levinson, who I'm very familiar with. We've worked with them over the years. Then, let's see, I also spoke to the guys over at the Sphere. This is for you, J.D. They want to go back to the Bahamas, so we might need to get permission from the bank. I don't know for sure. It's a 1-day shoot. They wanna take one 5-ton to the Bahamas for a month. And I guess—
For a 1-day shoot?
For a 1-day shoot. And the owner doesn't wanna do it, but the art director does. It's for that Extreme 26. And, I mean, I hope they do because it made us a lot of money.
Yeah, I was gonna say, I mean, we're not gonna say no to that.
But they also ordered, like, 3 other trucks for the new show that's there. That's going to be starting. So they placed a nice order for some trucks coming up the beginning of— in April, like April-ish. Okay.
Also, what else?
Yeah, the shows that we've got going, Ballard, I guess it's now called Netflix Sunset.
Yeah.
They keep adding equipment. I think Netflix Sunset's up to 10 vehicles. Um, we raced one down to them at the last minute the other day. Um, they're shooting out of Raleigh. I didn't have a 5-ton in Hollywood at the time or I would have brought it from there.
Yeah, look at that. And remind me, what show is that?
Um, it's Poser. Yeah, they changed the name. Um, America's Got Talent's got 5 vehicles right now. Um, they're going out for at least a month. Um, ASOAE's ordered some 5-tons. That's the, uh, the company that likes our bathrooms. I, I don't know if they're gonna get any, but I'll let you know. I also— I know Ivan's on vacation, but Lando's been— is loving the trailers. They called and placed an order for, I think it's Flavortown Fight, it's called, starting mid-April through the end of June, or till June.
Oh, how many?
4 or 5 trailers.
Nice.
Yeah, really nice. And then also he's got— they ordered I think another 4 trailers for just like 3 or 4 weeks for another thing called Wild Card Kitchen or something.
Wasn't that what we did last time?
No, we, we did, uh, Tournament of Champions.
I think, I think we rolled something into Wild Card or vice versa.
Yeah, so they're coming back too. So those are the, you know, and I actually, when they put me on the email and I threw in there, hey, you know, you need trucks, I got them on beat or match rate. I haven't heard back. That was yesterday. Okay, but I know Ivan booked those for them because he, he was on the, you know, he answered the email.
Do you know what kind of email or, uh, trailers they wanted? Do you remember?
Yeah, I'll tell you right now. Hold on, let me pull it up. Let's see. I'll give you the dates too. I think I maybe overestimated the dates. I think I did this.
I was on vacation this week.
What's that, hon?
You said I—
is this, uh, I can see vacation. Yeah.
Is this microphone better? Can you hear me better?
I can hear you.
Yeah, I think the other one was better.
This one's better.
Okay, it's called, uh, Food Fight Trailer Rental.
Julie, let— wait, I want to hear Garrett's mic.
Hello, check one, two.
Yeah, I think that's— I think that's better.
Okay.
Okay, Julia, what were you saying?
Okay, it's called, um, Triage Entertainment for 3 rooms. Oh, from the 24th of April till the 4th of June.
Great, it's good. Yeah, that's a great round.
And the other one, hold on, is a smaller one, was the wild card, I think. Um, hold on, that was Food Fight. And the other one, we have Walkies on wild card as well. Good, that's awesome. I love that. Are they local today, Garrett?
What, huh?
Did you get walkies this morning? We returned your walkies.
Yes, actually, I think we got them last night. Thank you.
Oh good. Okay, I called, I told the guys. The other one, where is it?
Julie for AGT, uh, is that a transport department you're talking to or production?
I'm talking to Travis. Huber, and he's the production manager. I've been trying to get him to get production supplies every time I talk to him. I don't know, he literally just doesn't respond when I start asking. I mean, he just doesn't respond. I'm trying. Every time I talk to him, I mentioned the production supplies. Trying to find that other one.
Who was the locations on Baywatch?
I'm not sure.
John Jansen? Jonathan Jansen?
That's—
yeah, that show, and he didn't.
Um, sorry, were we talking about Baywatch? We're talking about someone else.
I was saying Baywatch. Lou was supposed to get that show. He, he's friends with the executive producer, and the exec was like, hey, I need you to interview Lou for the show. And they brought him in, they loved him, everything was great. And then last minute they're like, sorry, we're going a different direction. And he has no idea what happened.
Oh, weird. Yeah. Okay.
Um, well, they just took our camera truck. Uh, we actually kind of cleaned it up, the 5-ton camera truck, till June.
Yeah, I saw that. That's great.
Yeah, yeah, that's a good rental for Baywatch. And then they picked up a bunch of trailers. Um, he's not getting a lot of trucks from me. He's— he tends to share the wealth with What's his name?
Galpin.
Yeah, with Galpin. The other one was— Where's the other? Oh, March 20th through April 4th was the wildcard, I believe, for Lando.
Okay.
It's not a long one, but you know, anything's everything.
Yeah, exactly.
Then what else do I got?
What's going on with George Sack? What's that? What's going on with George Sack?
George? Well, they opened an account.
Yeah.
I got the paperwork in to open the account for Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I'm gonna see if he orders. I actually, I've got a meeting tomorrow afternoon. I'm gonna go see Austin. And he's the guy that's gonna be doing Fallout. That's his stepson.
Got it.
And I'm just gonna go just see him and just beg him to get my equipment. Um, so we'll see. B Corps is, uh, the guy Roger Lamb used to be with ASOE, and now he's with a company called B Corps. And he's— I think I talked to you, Daniel, about trailers, about the bathrooms going to Coachella just for a couple days.
Yeah, we sent a quote. We're waiting for their response, waiting for him to respond to that.
And he's also looking for a production trailer. Um, but I also told him to spread the word about you know, to whoever else is gonna be at Coachella and let them know we have all the bathrooms. Uh, what else do I have?
What about, um, you, you, you made a, a note in here about Kelly, uh, Harkis not being excited about Greenlight.
They were to— well, he— that's that show Stick that's on Apple TV, Rambler. And when he first started, I had called him and they— he was told he had to use BI. And so he said that is all locations, all locations. He had, you know, I don't know, 10 5-tons for the run of the show, and pretty much— and then I guess they fell out with BI or whatever. So I called him about a month ago and he dropped off a bunch of BI stuff, and he's right now—
he's got, he's got 3 5-tons, it looks like.
No, more than that. He's got altogether—
I'm seeing 4 units and a—
he's got 8 vehicles right now. He's got 8. He's got, um, oh really? Yeah.
When I look on WebPlan, I'm only seeing 4.
1 van, 1, 2, 3, 5 tons. He's got 6 5-tons and 2 pass vans.
Oh, maybe there's some, uh, rentals that are shorter term that aren't showing up on this.
Yeah, there are. There's some that are, that are just, uh, out to the 2nd to the 17th. He's just in the— they're, they're pretty much wrapping. They're getting ready to wrap. But he told me, he goes, next season He's using us for sure.
Great.
And then Robert Dooley's called me, and I didn't put this one in there yet because I don't want to jinx it, but he's doing Criminal Minds. Writing room just opened up, and he said that he heard that they— that, uh, Coyote no longer has in their contract that he has to use them at, um, Coyote Park. That's, you know, right over there in San Fernando Road. But he does have to use Disney, but he thinks that Disney's gonna be sold out, so he's gonna do whatever he can to try to get some of our trucks up over there. But he does, he does have to use Coyote Trailers. They, they don't have to use their trucks, and I think it's because they don't have that many anymore, right? I think they— yeah. So, um, maybe we can at least get some trucks on there.
Yeah, that'd be great if we could, uh, pick up some of that, some of that business.
Oh, and finally, Milk. They're really busy right now. They're super happy with us. And they reached out to— when James and I went to visit them, they own their own, like, Sprinters, I think, at one truck. And James is like, oh, we can service your stuff. We don't have insurance for that. But they did ask us if we could do their bodywork. And I mentioned it to Faustino, and he's like, yeah. So I'm going to have him come up and meet with us. Maybe we can do their bodywork. He's got two trucks or two of the vans got damaged or one truck and one van.
Is this the bodywork for their own equipment?
Their own personal? Yeah.
Okay.
I mean, it's another revenue stream.
Yeah.
I talked to Richard. He didn't have a problem with it, but.
Right. I'm— I wonder if there's any liability off to— I'll talk to Richard about that and see.
I know I'm supposed to. I talked to Richard. He didn't. He was more concerned if we were doing bits.
Right.
If we're doing bits, that's different. But bodywork, he said he didn't think there was a liability issue.
Right. Okay.
But check it out and let me know because I, I mentioned I was supposed to meet with them in the next day or two.
Yeah, I would say I would keep pursuing it. Um, because Milk's a good customer. Like, the more we can like build that connection, the better, um, for the company. So yeah, keep pursuing it. I'll double-check on my end, but Okay.
Yeah. Just let me know.
Okay.
I'm, I'm done.
Thank you, Julie. Um, sounds pretty good. Sounds like things are going well. Yeah.
Things are, no, I mean, I don't even want to jinx it.
Thanks for sending it back. I have one more question before we, um, uh, move to HDR. The shorty 40s look like they're going to be sold out here in a minute or, or in a day or two. Um, because we've got an untitled PI pilot taking full—
Oh, I forgot about that one. Yeah.
Yeah. But what's going on with the 10 tons? Why do you think those are not— usually I think of those as being—
that's weird how that just either it's feast or famine. Yeah, I think I'm going to get rid of— I actually just quoted somebody for a couple. I can't remember who it was. I just quoted somebody for some. I don't know if it's going to happen, but I think they'll go out. It's feast or famine. It's weird. Some coordinators don't use them, right? Some don't. Some want to get their grip and lighting equipment all loaded in and they get the whole, the whole package. So they'll call like, um, uh, what do you call it, uh, like a grip company, MBS, and they'll say, give me, give me the truck with everything in it, right? And that's how— although MBS called and ordered one and Michelle put them on COD because it took them 7 months to do this, and they canceled. But you know what, I get it. I mean, I don't want to give it to them if they're not going to pay us.
No, we're not, we're not in the business of giving out free, free equipment.
So I didn't die on that hill. I let it go.
Yeah, that's probably for the best.
Okay.
Okay, great. Thank you. Um, Daniel, before you kick off with the update, Garrett and I were talking, I think yesterday, 2 days ago, about the pricing pushback and we couldn't remember if 911 said like at the end of the season to introduce new prices or if it was something related to a specific PO. It was actually resolved.
Um, they just basically whatever was already quoted and PO'd with the old price, finish off with that. Once that was done, um, we stick with the new price. So we've been on the new price.
So we've been with the new price during this shift.
Okay.
Okay.
Yes. Yes. I talked to accounting. I think it was yesterday, day before yesterday, and we clarified it. They're okay with it. And yeah, we fixed a few invoices that were in question, but they were just— yeah, we're sticking with the new pricing. Right. That's the only, only person that gave me pushback on the price. It was only on the trailers, was Presumed Innocent for the trailer. They wanted $150 back to $750, so I put it back to $750.
Yeah, great.
Yeah.
But and still no issues otherwise? Yeah, nobody else has ever reached out.
No.
Perfect.
Okay, great. Um, what else is going on in your world?
So I have on some smaller stuff. I mean, Curtis Collins has it. He's on a small pilot. Uh, he gave small fuel orders, are really tiny, but, um, that's the beginning. I think we started yesterday. Um, that's something.
You know what the name of that pilot was? Um, it's On Broadway.
I looked for it. It wasn't On Broadway.
I've seen a couple of pilots start popping up, and I'm wondering—
it's pilot season. I, I've actually talked to people, and, and some of these, some of them are starting to do pilots. Like, I think I put something in there for Ocean's. They're doing a prequel to Ocean's Eleven. Yeah, exactly, that Kevin Kire is going to do it. He's trying to get some equipment from us.
Interesting. Okay, hopefully that turns into something then and he sticks with us. Yeah. Okay.
Yeah, so that's Curtis Collins. That's on, on the pilot called On Broadway. Andrew is, uh, Supplies. That is— what is he on? Uh, actually, we just opened up an account. We signed the agreement. Don't know what show it is yet or anything. Okay. Um, it just— they just said we're waiting for the supply order, we'll get it to you. Um, so I don't, I don't have anything yet.
Okay.
Let's just say so, should be coming soon. And then after that, Hannah Caldwell is on, uh, what is she on?
PI Pilot. So she's on that.
We're getting restrooms. We didn't get the equipment because they're sharing the love. Um, I'm working on it. I told her that, you know, let us get it all in, I'll get you good pricing. She says let's start the season with, uh, obviously spreading the love, and down the, down the road we can see we could jump in. And, you know, depending on how they do on service, right, then we might be able to jump in at some point in the, in the season. Um, I did try to pressure on pricing. I did as a package, as dumpsters and everything. She's, she's 100% with it. She's like, we love your bathrooms, we're definitely going to use your bathroom. So at least we got that on there. Um, and yeah, Poser, we got our first order. I think we deliver tomorrow— no, Friday, Saturday we deliver our first order for, for, for Poser. Great. Yeah, so, and I have a bunch of emails I've sent out. I have not logged in because, um, I don't, I don't want to until I get some response. Right. Um, but I, I, I sent to Baywatch, I sent to I reached out again to Snowfall. No answer yet. I reached out to— let me see, what was the other job?
Bosch. Bosch.
I think I did reach out to Bosch.
I had a— I had something that we were tracking that we thought we were 75% sure we'd get locations on Bosch. Is that still working?
Still working on it. Neil's kind of— he's— he sends me a message here and there. Like, I had invited him to the basketball game. Uh, he didn't answer the day of. He answered 3 days later. Ah, thanks, thanks for the invite, a little busy prepping, right? So I kind of told him, perfect, let me know you have some time to talk. When, when, blank again. So I'm trying to figure out how to get to him. I don't, I don't know if he's the other manager's, the controlling manager, or he's the controlling manager, but I'm trying to figure out how to get in contact with them as long as I can get some communication with him. But yeah, it's a little drive.
Snowfall, we don't have. No fun.
No, I've, I've been trying. Jeff said, I'll communicate with you later. No response yet.
Got it. Okay. Um, and then Baywatch. Do we have Baywatch?
Sent email, sent text message. Still, still waiting on a response. Okay.
Got it. Um, and then James had brought up something about, uh, um, what was the show? Dig maybe? About bathrooms.
Yeah.
Did something happen with the bathrooms there?
So, um, we were out of Santa Barbara, um, and we were supposed to take restrooms, uh, dumpsters, and equipment. The equipment order went out there, uh, they canceled the restrooms and they canceled the dumpsters. I called Lee, which is Lee David Lee. I had a conversation with him. I told him, do you know about pricing? You know how we are, just tell us where you want to be and we'll make it happen. Um, so we went out for the delivery. They didn't, didn't add back and they ended up using, um, what's that company, Garrett? Lewis's company. So I gotta get on the phone with— I don't know, we were supposed to be recruiting, ended up going. Yeah, so, um, so I'm a little worried because if they come back in the game, which they bought all Coyote's restrooms as well, so they have new restrooms and they have the Coyote restrooms. So I gotta jump on the phone with Lee, uh, and see if we could, you know— I mean, we didn't do nothing wrong, it's just kind of I, I know to get back in the game, they're probably even doing it either for free or very cheap, you know. So, right. Um, so I got to figure out with Lee where we sit on that. I don't, I don't think we have an issue, but we have an order Monday, Tuesday, so I don't know if the bathroom's going on that one. I know they extended the ones at Universal. They've been at Universal for about 2 weeks, so that's kind of where they film at, just on Universal. It's the first time they went out Santa Barbara.
Okay.
But yeah, but that's pretty much it. Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah. Cool.
Anything else you're tracking right now or any shows you anticipate?
Just sending emails to the, to the bigger shows, people that I know and some of the people that I haven't worked with in a while. Just, just sending emails. No, nothing. All the jobs we had are pretty much working. I think I have one more job I'm waiting for. That will have all of the jobs we're working— that we were looking for. So that's kind of where we're at right now.
Sweet.
Okay, um, anything else you guys wanted to cover before I let you go?
I think I got it all. Um, Grey's Anatomy has been running for us— I mean, a little bit, but considering it was like dry since 2019, it's, it's nice to have him back. He's just calling passenger vans at this point. You know, but, you know, I'm hoping it's just gonna keep getting better. Yeah. Waiting to hear when The Voice is going back. I am assuming it's gonna be April-ish, like mid-April. That's what he thought. But I haven't— he's just got back into town last week. So hopefully I'll find out from that. I don't know what's going on with The Bachelor. I know that they're just— they're doing some reshoots for the H for their H— the renovation show that they did. Okay. So I'm kind of waiting to hear from them, uh, reality show-wise. But yeah, I mean, we're— things are flying right now. Things are busy, which is really good.
Yeah, that's great. I think, um, I saw that between Versatile and Avon on Monday, I think 80 reservations were scheduled to go out. Yeah, which is— that's substantial. Phenomenal.
Yeah, it's, it's been solid. Um, yeah, we really— it's not phenomenal.
You're supposed to say, that's it.
You know what, I'm motivated. Take anything for granted. I'm just grateful. Easy audience. Phone calls walking off. I'm getting a ton of phone calls early, early in the morning and late at night, and you You know, just there— I know it's busy when that happens, right? It's when my phone starts blowing up like that after hours, I'm, I'm grateful, you know, because I know that things are getting busy.
Yeah, I wonder if that's due to, uh, other vendors— or not other vendors, but like the studios selling out of their equipment and us— them having to scramble.
I know Disney's been really busy. I had lunch with Roxanne last week and she was telling me that they've got a bunch of shows in development And she said, you know, she's out. They had to dump a bunch of equipment, so she doesn't have as much as she used to, which is great news. And every call that comes in there, if they can't fulfill it, they'll send them our way. Oh, and I don't know if I mentioned— I know we told James, but I don't know if I mentioned to you that Sony— Don Violet's no longer at Sony. Oh, really? Yeah, the good news is Chris Sell, who used to be a business agent with the Teamsters— prior to that, he was one of the— not the head of Transpo, but one of the higher-ups at Paramount for years. Then he went to be a business agent, Teamsters, and now he's head of Transpo at Sony. He just landed like this week, and it's good because he really likes Avon. He really likes Ivan. It's really good news. I'm gonna give him about— I sent him a text. I'm gonna give him about a week or two and then I'm gonna go down and see him. But I mean, I donate. He comes in every Christmas. We donate trucks for their toy drive.
Oh, okay.
Contact there, Chris Sell's his name. And I couldn't wish for a better guy to land there. Great. 'Cause he's definitely Team Avon.
What was his name? Chris Sell?
Chris Sell, S-E-L-L. Got it. Yeah, it's really good news. Even Richard was excited when he heard it because he actually likes the guy. Yeah.
Okay, great.
So that is really good news.
Okay, um, if you guys— if that's everything, I'm good. Um, Julie, will you let— do you want to let Faustino know about the vehicle? I will let him know. Okay, great. Okay.
All right, cool, cool. See you guys later.
Thanks, Garrett. All right, thanks everybody.
Bye.
