The sales team is actively pursuing new business from several major TV/film productions while managing existing accounts, with a notable operational issue causing a lost rental due to a rigid 2-hour vehicle prep rule.

Cody, but Cody doesn't have as many vehicles as they used to. I know they sold a bunch off, so I'm hoping— he's like, he's going to try to pull as much as he can for me. He's somebody that wants to use local. He doesn't like using, um, anybody out of the, out of the state. He doesn't like Greenlight, he doesn't like Lightning. Um, he is friendly with Galpin. He'll use some of the Galpins, he'll use some of ours, but he did tell me that he heard that there's some big problems that green light. He knows somebody that works there, he knows something, and he's like, they are in serious trouble. That's what he told me. And I don't know exactly the details behind it, but he said that I have heard similar things as well, that they are potentially pulling out of California.
Maybe we'll see.
Yeah, I heard something like that, which would be wonderful.
Green light pulling out of California?
Potentially.
That's what he heard. I heard they're going down. Something's bad is happening there. Well, couldn't happen to a nicer person, right?
Exactly.
Um, okay, and then Travis is starting America's Got Talent. I'm pushing our supplies. I'm like, come on, Travis, I can beat— I can match the rate. Just please let me— give me a shot. He's not really in charge of that. He's trying to wrangle at least me a conversation with whoever is in charge. You don't do that show, do you, Garrett?
We did back when my buddy Michael Miller was on it, but he was only on for one season, like season 2 or 3, and then he left the show and whoever took over, I don't think they ever got it back.
Right. Travis is a production manager. He, um, he also just did the casting for Baywatch and got some, some stuff from us for that. But, um, you know, like I said, pushing it, huh?
Sorry, if he's a production manager, he might not be directly in charge of ordering, but he's directly in charge of where they go.
And no, I know he is. That's why I'm leaning on him. But a lot of times, if, if he's worked with somebody for a while, he lets them defer to who they work with. A lot of times it's like, you got your contact, use it. But I'm still— I, I told him, I said, give me a shot, let me just, let me just quote you. So I'm going to see what he says. He did give me the 2 steak bids that he usually gets through Suppose You Drive. Um, I had to match the Suppose You Drive rate. What is that rate? $954 per week. It's not bad.
Is that for a 24-foot? For a 24-foot?
Yeah.
Yeah, that's a good rate for sure.
Yeah, it's fine. So I told him I would match it, and then he's taking his truck. He'll take the truck. He's got a 3-week rental on it, but he'll extend it because they usually keep that for the run of show, and then they come and pick up stuff during the season.
Right.
Tony Greasley, who does Avatar, he's starting an Amazon show called Gearheads. It's not a long show, but I have to deliver it at Manhattan Beach. Sorry, but I'm charging him $100 each way.
I mean, for this length of a rental, that's a good— I know, that's a good way to deliver it.
He's looking at our trailers too. I don't know if he's gonna get— he's been dealing, talking to Ivan. And then he— so I actually just talked to him today about the first vehicle. He's taking a 16-foot stake bed crew cab for 3 weeks to start.
When does this Gearhead Show start? I didn't see it on the 399.
He just called me today, and I'm taking a stake bed to him. So it's an Amazon show. Maybe it's got another working title, but that's the name he gave me. I sent him the stuff to open the account this morning. If I get more information, I'll update it. If there's another working title name. He called it Gearheads.
That's interesting.
Okay, Tony Greasy. So if you see him on there—
oh, right.
Yeah. Um, and then George Sack.
Yeah, what's going on with him?
I think I got him. He still bitched and bitched and bitched, but he promised me he already sent the stuff to open the account for Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Okay, waiting for the paperwork from Fallout. I know once I get the account open for Fallout, Austin's gonna use me. I tried to offer him tickets. He doesn't like sports. I don't think—
Crypto does more than sports, though.
I think he would like sports. He hates sports.
But they do events and concerts and stuff.
Well, I mean, the concerts— I mean, Meghan Maroney and there's some Latin— there was nothing. Metallica was not playing, okay? Right. Or any heavy metal. Whatever, you know. So that— but that's okay, you know. He still— that wasn't the key. He, he still wants to, um, he still said he would send business our way. He bitched and bitched and bitched, but he said he would. And I know he will because I, I've got— like I said, Austin told me he can't deal with Galpin. Galpin doesn't respond to him the way that we do. Um, Galpin, you know, doesn't treat him— I mean, they basically like put him on hold or call him back. He doesn't get it.
Did George say that, or did his son Austin?
His son said it. George doesn't make the calls for the vehicles, right? It's his captains that do, right? You know, and, uh, and so if I can get that fallout account open, I know, you know, I can get my equipment on there. He told me point blank, Austin said, I will get some token vehicles from Galpin and then I'll give you the rest.
Okay, so is that like 10 tons and things like that?
Yeah, he said he'll take, he'll take some shorties from, um, from Galpin. He probably— he said, I'll take, you know, maybe a couple of this and that. They had what, 70 vehicles? 50 last time. So I mean, even if we get half the show, it's great.
Let's see how much we did.
$786,000, I want to say.
Yeah, I've got $723,000.
All right, it went up by $50,000.
And HDR did a lot too, $430,000. Do you know Um, is Daniel joining us or is he busy?
No, he was— what I just talked to him and said he was less than 10 minutes away.
Okay.
Okay.
Um, yeah, Julie, do you know if Ivan's around?
I, I think he's— I saw him, but I think he's getting some deliveries today, so he might be delivering some vehicles.
He scheduled his deliveries for this time so he doesn't have to come.
Smart guy. Yeah. Um, I, I would do the same, but I can't drive the thing, right?
Um, okay, well, I mean, if we can get— I mean, 723 is probably a high bar because we're not gonna get 100% of the vehicles from them.
But no, but if we can split that, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, you know, and he's gonna start— George is starting Big Little Lies this summer, um, which we did the first 2 seasons of that, and that made us a lot, a lot, a lot of money. Big Little Lies. We did that, though. That was before you guys came. You know, that was a while ago.
Right.
But that was a big show because they shot that from Warner Hollywood, which is right around the corner. And it was a different coordinator. But he's got Green Lantern coming back.
Does Big Little Lies have a code name? That's what Garrett asked. He's looking for it.
I don't think so, because it's not even— it's not starting until summertime. It might have a code name, but I don't think it's on the sheets yet.
I have it in my inactive because they haven't done anything since 2019.
Well, they had season 1 and season 2. This is season 3, and season 1 and season 2 were like from— yeah, he was saying 2019 or something.
2019 July.
Yeah, okay, I was close. Okay, but, um, and I— yeah, so let me see, what else do I have? Oh, Mark Lenny. They called me last week. I talked to Rupert, who was with the Rookie. He went to go dispatch for him, and he called me up and said, look, we've got a shoot out of Sony. I'm going to be short about 6, 5 tons for the show. Can you deliver to us? And I said, absolutely. How long?
Like, for the run of show?
The run.
I mean, I'm assuming for a substantial amount of time. I don't know.
Right.
I mean, I told him, yeah. He goes, if you guys can service us down here at Sony, we'll use you. For all of whatever we need. And he said that Disney's really short on equipment. I'm sorry, what?
Mark's better than you. He hits me up for King's Pictures all the time.
Yeah, no, I know. Well, he will use me because I've known him for a bit. The problem is he's been on so many Disney shows that he can't because Disney has such a big fleet. But Disney's running out. They've got a lot of shows going right now. And I was able to put some stuff on a few shows last month because they were out of equipment. Right.
Promising me, uh, a game with Keanu Reeves.
Really?
They're family friends.
Nice.
And last season we had a game set up where Keanu was supposed to show up and then got some last-minute shoot and didn't— wasn't able to come.
He's a big hockey fan, I know that.
So I'm still waiting for Mark's call, like, okay, Keanu's back in for this upcoming game.
I'm gonna tease him. I'll let you know whenever I get a copy. He'll send us as much as he can, so that's, that's good. I got that going.
Um, this is the mark— it's not this, the pilot, right? It's the— because they already did the pilot. It's just the spin-off.
It's the spin-off.
I'll update that.
Yeah. Um, and then I'm having lunch with Roxanne on Tuesday. I was supposed to go this week, but she had a— she was sick. So Roxanne at Disney. I'm gonna see if I can get her to make a deal with us to maybe be first call for trailers or something. I don't know. I'm gonna see what I can get out of her. She's real supportive for us. And again, whenever they're out of equipment, she has Dave and Patrick in dispatch call Avon. So—
Great.
Hey, Daniel.
Good morning. Good morning.
Morning.
Morning, Daniel.
Yeah.
And what about Michael, Sean, Ryan in Forever, it says?
Oh, yeah. Uh, forever. Like I said, he's shooting it at Sunset Gower, which is a stage, and sometimes they make the music. He doesn't think he's gonna have the equipment that he needs because they're real short on— they don't have that much anymore, right? He's gonna— he's gonna send as much as he can my way. He can't— I, I actually met with him.
When people are saying that they don't have as much equipment, are they talking about trucks or trailers? They're talking about trucks, right?
I don't think he's talking trailers.
Yeah, because I know they have a lot of trailers.
Yeah, I don't— but see, it— like, because he even asked me, he said, you know, he doesn't know if he's contractually— he contractually has to use them for the trailers. He doesn't, right? Because he hadn't started yet.
It looks like Forever is starting at the end of March, maybe beginning of April.
Yeah, he said it's next month. He's not even going to start— he's not even starting until next They're, uh, their last shoot in 2024. Yeah, yeah, last year he hit— they kept a couple of steak beds and a couple 5-tons they had from us last season.
Yeah.
Um, Bill Ballard, but he's taking the job from Bill.
Um, okay.
And he, and he feels badly because when he did Suits LA— or no, it was The Burbs— they made him use all Galpin. And I went up to visit him, and I think I told you it was Galpin all over, all over Universal.
Yeah.
And he said that the producer for Suits LA was the same producer for them. And he was friends with Bo Bachmann, and they made them use him. And he goes, "I thought that was ridiculous. I promise I will share the wealth with this show with you." Okay. Because I don't need that much. So he knows that I feel he owes me that. So we'll see.
Okay. That's a good spot to be in.
It's a good spot to be in.
Yeah.
This side of it.
Right.
Um, but yeah, that's pretty much what I got.
Okay. Um, great. I mean, it sounds positive. Oh, the other thing I wanted to ask was, um, the voice. Do we know when the voice comes back?
I, uh, what's his name just got back from Australia. Um, I saw him last week. He has to make some calls. He doesn't know. He hasn't been told it's starting right away, but he's gonna let me know. We're supposed to have lunch next week. I think usually they correlate with when it airs. They usually start up the next season when the season, the final season that they have in the can airs. So I'm assuming it's going to start soon and it's season 30, so it's going to be a big one.
It looks like they did 24 and 25. Yeah, they did it in March, starting basically April to the end of May, and then they did June to August for another one.
And then they just finished wrapping one in December too, because they did, they did two back to back and then another two back to back, right?
Okay, so hopefully that comes back soon then.
Yeah, I'm hoping there— and The Bachelor, don't know when.
I'm—
a lot of the people from The Bachelor jumped off and are doing shows where we've got this little Rebel Artichoke that you guys, that HDR It was a 2-day rental for a cube truck that they ended up taking almost $2,600 worth of production supplies in that truck.
That's great.
But so what the downside is, The Bachelor, I don't know when they're coming back, but the upside is you guys are splintering off and calling us for their other shows.
Right, they're building up their own, like, business.
Yeah, exactly. You know, that's the upside, but yeah, I don't know.
Okay, great. Um, Daniel, what's going on in your world? How are you doing?
Um, so fairly in between everything right now. I have like 3 or 4 new ones. I know Curtis Collins, uh, reached out for some restroom units for March on the Broadway One, it's called, on Broadway.
I don't know if I'm familiar with that one.
Let me see.
It's called Broadway One.
It's on the Broadway One.
On the Broadway.
Yeah.
And then something then. Yeah, Polar starts— they already send their stuff in for Polar.
Oh, it looks like, uh, called The One, maybe. Probably.
Is that— is that with Curtis Collins?
It says development, but it also says it was last updated in 2024. So I don't know if that's right. I don't—
probably not it. Yeah, I don't think I'm waiting for him to respond because I sent him the quote. Yes. Yeah, yesterday for some restrooms. Um, so that's one. I have another one. I can't remember the name. It's called something then.
Then. Then.
Yes, it's a weird name.
I don't know if I'll be able—
I don't see it on the list. I'm looking at that list right now. I don't see it on there. Okay, um, that's another one. Um, let me see what else. Um, I have two other ones that I'm pursuing, but I don't remember the name, to be honest.
Okay. And then that's just with normal stuff going on that you're still servicing, like the shows that—
Correct. We're still servicing, uh, what is it, uh, The Land. We're still servicing Grey's Anatomy. We're still servicing The Morning Show. Well, that's starting. Jermette's just wrapped.
Um, 911.
Matlock, 911. I'm, I'm close to, uh, one attempt remaining with Allison Taylor. Um, I've been talking to Sam. I send them some quotes and I tell them, look, tell me where we, where we need to be at to get this job. She's very stuck on her location manager. I think that there's money involved, but I think they'll do the switch because they did the same thing on Whalefall. They took our pricing.
Yeah.
And Next thing you know, the week after, we had their whole shop.
Oh wow.
So I'm, I'm still pressing on Sam. Sam, I think we could flip that show over because it was what, it was week 1 and they were already looking to switch vendors, right? So I guess they give that vendor one more chance, but I don't think they're going to be able to do it. Her jobs are pretty, pretty big. So I told Sam just to complain a little bit more so we get to switch over.
Yeah. How is the new pricing? Is there any issues, any pushback? Have you sent out quotes?
So there was two people. One was, um, oh, what's his name? Um, Dylan Kirkland. Which was Dylan's job? Um, just two names. Uh, Slingshot. They actually mentioned it about the changing trailer because it went from $7.50 to $8.50. They actually said, you know what, can we put it back? I said, no problem, put it back. Um, got a call from 911. They— I explained to them that we have not gone up in pricing in 3 years, so we implemented it this year. They And they said, cool, no problem. Just make the ones that were previously done already to match their quotes. So when we do invoicing, match the old ones and moving forward, no problem with the new pricing.
Great.
So that's it. Other than that, nobody's complained about it.
Fantastic.
I'm glad. Yeah. So it's just the presumed innocent and 911, but everybody else is fine. Great. Yeah. Yep. But that's, that's all I have. I haven't had much. We're kind of in between everything right now, some wraps and some starting. But we were doing— let me see, what do I have? Yeah, we have about how many shows running right now? I think we have about 6 to 8 shows running right now.
I'm gonna say my count that I had was 8 that we were just— but I don't know if they're all active right now. Maybe they're in between.
They're all active. I know they're in between stuff. I know the Lance said they went to Paris, so they came back. We have a job with them tomorrow.
Okay.
Um, I know that what's his name, Bad Habits, wrapped, which is not so big on our end, but that's on Dan Milner. He said, uh, they wrapped up already too. Uh, we still have Dig, Dig's full force, uh, Presumed Innocent full force, 9-1-1 full force, Mad Love full force.
Um, is, uh, there's a couple of shows that Julie was telling us about that are coming back. Fallout, that was a big show for HDR last year.
Uh, that's Dakota. I'm meeting with, uh, Mandy next week, uh, because I got her the gift card, so I'm supposed to hand her the gift card next week. So that's, uh, David— I already talked to David Park, uh, which they're— they, they coordinate, um, location managing that job together. So, but yeah, that's, that's where I'm gonna be on that one.
Um, and do you know, uh, Mr. and Mrs. Smith? That's another big show. I don't know if you know anyone who's on that.
Let me Who's the manager on that one?
Let me take a look.
Mr.
We only have George Sack on it. It might not be on the— oh, is this it? Last Morning Show. Might not be on the 399 report yet.
Yeah, no, it's not on there yet.
Yeah, but it might. I would guess it's probably on next week because it says it has got a shooting date in middle of March.
So, okay, I'll find out today who's the manager.
Uh, is that— is it season 2?
I think it is.
It says shoot first half of 2026, so it could be any time. Um, oh, uh, Christopher Kusak. Kusiak. Does that name ring a bell?
Chris Kusiak? Yes. Uh, I will try to give him a call.
Yeah, sweet.
Okay.
Yeah, that should be a big budget show.
Yeah.
Okay. Anything else of note you wanted to mention?
Let me see. No, I don't think right now. Like I said, it's kind of a weird one right now. It's been mellow these last couple of days, but no, I think that's all I have for now.
It looks like it's been a good February. I mean, We've got—
yeah, it's been, it's been stable. It's been stable. It's not super jammed like January, but it is, it's stable.
Right. That's great.
Cool.
All right. Well, it looks like Garrett and Julie both disappeared, so, um, yeah, but if that's, if that's everything, um, I'll let you drop off, but good to see you.
Perfect.
I'll talk to you later.
But I'm on with James.
Oh no, you're fine. He gave me the recap, so I let Dayton drop off.
Sorry, J.D., I was— I had somebody come in. Fred T., who's doing Baywatch, came by. He was telling me they're killing him with the budget.
Oh, really?
Yeah, they pushed for a few weeks. But they— I don't know, I just looked up that steak that I wanted to send. Is not here. I have to go get it.
Where is it?
It's on rent, and I thought I put the guy in the other stake bed. I didn't want to give him the nice one. It's like— I don't know. It doesn't matter. He's coming back today. So the problem I have is now I have to send somebody either tonight or first thing tomorrow. I think maybe we'll send them first early, early tomorrow morning to bring that stake bed down. That way they miss traffic. Maybe we can bring somebody in.
Right.
Anyways, it's a good problem to have, right?
It's a good problem to have. Yeah, it's better than the other problem.
And, and Start of Watch ordered a shorty for Run a Show.
Great.
Um, Lincoln Lawyer picked up their two, uh, two statements. Oh, and I've got Vans on one attempt remaining too.
Okay, great.
Yeah, so they're, uh, that's Neil Marshall. They're, they're starting to order, and according to Steve Pollin, they're gonna, they're gonna get as much from me as they can. I think he's kind of spreading it around. Neil's a, Neil's a good, nice guy. He's the guy that was trying to get the um, singles from Ivan.
I don't know if he didn't end up happening.
I don't know, let me look.
It doesn't look like they're out, so I'd imagine no.
Yeah, okay, one attempt remaining. I know he ordered— he ordered 4 more bands from me for Monday. Yeah, he's got 4 bands going out with Monday, but they're day playing. But no, I don't see any I don't see any of the other ones. Okay, well, we just keep trying. I mean, um, and then, uh, what's his name, um, Ballard Season 2 has been— they've got a lot of stuff. Yeah, they do. Um, he's, he's out of Sony also, so I'm letting him leave stuff down there for— and taking it down for a day or two and then putting it back up rather than chasing down there, bringing it up and back.
Right. Great.
Um, yeah, they've got quite a bit, and he's also picking and dropping off here too. So it's not just us running down there all the time. He's good about coming up here.
Yeah.
Okay, great. Um, Julie, I have to drop off at 10:30. Um, I also, I gotta cancel. I won't be able to make the 12 o'clock. Um, so you guys can still do it with Michelle if you want, or she can just send the report and let me know if there's—
Yeah, I'll have her send the report. I think that's— yeah, that'll work.
Yeah, she'll let me know if there's anything she needs from me.
Okay, cool.
Thank you, Julie.
All right, see you later. Garrett, we moved that meeting, that overbooking meeting, to Monday. I'll send you the link, um, for whatever. I don't know what the reason Richard changed it. Maybe he's busy tomorrow, I'm not sure. Um, no, no, no, remember it was going to be tomorrow.
Tomorrow.
Now they moved it to Monday because we, you know, we got to address that because I came in and I talked to the girls this morning and they were like They had two 5-tons canceled. They could have used one of those. We, uh, JD, we have a problem with yesterday. A customer came in in the morning, walked in, a regular customer for a 5-ton for a week, and the boys wouldn't release it on the lot because it was, uh, they wanted the guy to wait 2 hours. And it was a week rental, full rate, and the guy ended up, he couldn't wait 2 hours and he left.
Yeah.
Which is— I mean, I understand there's rules, I understand that, but there's got— I mean, they could have— and Megan said, well, I'll pull one from a reservation for later. No, they wouldn't let her do that.
Okay.
And it's just, we need the business.
Yeah, absolutely.
I don't even know what this 2-hour rule—
I mean, I get— they, they— it's, it's, it's a rule. That's why they did it. It wasn't because one wasn't ready.
I know.
I'm saying what's the purpose of the rule?
I don't know. I don't follow the rules all the time. I try, but if, if it's important, I will bend that rule a little bit for my benefit— our benefit, not mine, you know.
I just want to understand if there's a legitimate reason, fine. Otherwise, we just lost $1,400, right?
More than that, because it's $1,499 plus tax and parking.
I mean, I had a 5-ton ready on our side that could have been pulled up in 5 minutes and ready to go.
I know, I know. So we're going to meet on Monday, and I think that's something— and I get that they do need time to get things ready, I understand that, and they're really good about that, but there always is going to be an exception, and they have to understand that.
Especially, especially if you got to know the, like, situation. Like, if it's a one-day rental and someone shows up, you don't, like—
sure, that's a little different. Yeah, this was a week, and it was a customer, Tom's Marathon. They rent from us all the time.
Oh yeah.
Yeah, yeah, they do. I mean, it's a good customer, and there should be— there should have— that I wasn't here. I took— I had a— I had meetings all day yesterday, appointments, so I wasn't in the office. Had I been here, I would have made it happen. But the girls— and honestly, I think Frank just doesn't want to get yelled at by Ron, you know. And I know I'm— you know, because Frank is usually really, you know, he helps. And whenever I've asked him to do stuff for me, he does. But I think that when you in a certain position, you don't push back because you don't want to get written up or whatever, you know.
Okay, I do have to jump, but I didn't want to hear that.
All right, see you guys later. All right, bye. Yes, dear.
